
Quality Control-Receiving Inspector
Overall Job function
Perform inspections per established quality procedures, inspection instructions and industry standards and inn a coordinated manner to satisfy operation planning.
Job Responsibilities- Perform advanced mechanical measurements (inspections) on purchased parts, materials and services as per defined criteria and various instructions
- Perform tests as per defined test instructions
- Use precision calibrated tools and instruments to measure parts and calculate results per specifications
- Analyze measurements and test results when required
- Reject incoming materials or parts, which fail to meet the quality standards and report the failures to the relevant department at the earliest
- When products or materials fail to meet the quality standards or specification report to the relevant teams of delays, for planning purposes
- Control and maintain measurement instruments, jigs and fixtures, necessary to perform inspections
- Manage comprehensive records of quality documentation and receipts
- Perform data capturing of the inspected items in the system
- At all-time maintain achievement of On Time Inspection within set target
- Promote and ensure practices to achieve zero product quality escape and safety incidents
- Participate in resolving quality enquiries, determine the nature of non-conformance and participate in multi-functional teams to evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented corrective actions
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and between 3 and 5 years relevant work experience
- Understanding of interpreting mechanical drawings, specification and metrology activities in an engineering/precision manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of various precision tools and instruments, the mechanics and strength of materials, quality standards and their practical application including understanding of main elements of the Quality Management System and its requirements
- Experience in and knowledge of supply chain activities and principles, supplier management, OTD (on time delivery) indicator
- Real time experience in advanced measuring and testing of mechanical and electrical parts and components against set standards and specifications and using precision tools and instruments
- Attention to detail – vigilant to identify variances
- Excellent math skills; documentation; reporting and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communication and Analytical Skills
- Work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with diverse teams
- The following would be advantageous:
- Working experience in an organization with international exposure
- Civil Aviation Regulations and standards (CATs & CARs)
- Hardware / Software Product Lifecycle development
- MRP Systems
